Eighteen entities linked to the design industry, in which around 20,000 companies from the industrial design sector are involved, have signed and presented a joint manifesto for the protection of the industrial fabric of Spanish design, which is currently undergoing a serious economic crisis.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS INITIATIVE, LED BY THE AEDE NETWORK, IS TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY SUPPORT TO BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT AND COLLABORATE IN THE RESTRUCTURING OF THE COUNTRY AFTER THE COVID-19 CRISIS.
The approach is comprehensive, it refers to the design production industry, the group of production and service companies related to habitat design and the provision of public and private capital goods, devices, surfaces, materials, furniture, lighting and textiles, such as homes, hotels, labor, educational,
leisure or hospitality, (among others).
Design has proven to be a driving force for change in the evolution of society. In fact, the design of products and spaces influences the way we behave and interact. In the light of the new reality facing society as a whole, more innovation is required; a new way of designing products and spaces for a new social reality. For this, the Spanish design industry defends its extensive preparation and predisposition.
